Ben Wood has taught a variety of courses from digital video production to motion graphics, public art and web design in schools and colleges in Northern California, such as Menlo College, and California State University, Monterey Bay and the San Francisco Art Institute. He is an Associate Faculty Member in the Digital Media Program and Art Department at West Valley College, in Saratoga, California. While a graduate student at M.I.T. he also assisted in both undergraduate and graduate level courses.

He has also presented his own visual artwork at organisations and institutions such as Stanford University's Humanities Field Trip, in the Technocultural Studies Program at UC Davis, the East-West Center in Honolulu, and at the Autonomous University of Morelos in Cuernevaca, Mexico, aswell as a number of other academic institutions in the United States.
